Kids St. Patty’s Day To The Pot Of Gold Craft

My 5 year old son is not a big fan of doing crafts so I try to make them easy and quick.  He made a fun craft this week which is the perfect craft for toddlers and preschoolers because it is simple and short.

Materials:

Fruit Loop Cereal

Glue

Card Stock – 1 sheet 8 X 10 any color

Construction Paper or Card Stock – 1 white piece smaller size

Pot of Gold Coloring Page and cut out

Crayons or Markers

For the white construction paper or card stock cut into a fluffy cloud. Set the Fruit Loops out you will need 12 red, 11 orange, 10 yellow, 9 green, 8 blue and 7 purple of each. Have the child glue the cloud to their 8 X 10 piece of paper then have them start gluing the Fruit Loops on the paper next to the cloud to look like a rainbow starting with red, orange, yellow, green, blue and then purple onto the page. Then while the glue is drying have them color their pot of gold cut out then glue that on to the end of the rainbow.  Allow all the glue to dry and viola – done!

This craft took about 10 minutes to make which is the perfect amount of times for little ones to keep their attention. What fun St. Patty’s Day crafts have you done with your kids lately?
