Candy Cane Cheerios Craft / Activity For Toddlers

Christmas has crept up fast this year and normally I do a few Christmas related crafts with my kids and I haven’t really done any. So today while I homeschooled my older children I set out this craft activity for my little one to make.

Materials:

Cheerios (we used multi-gran giving it a bit of a variety in color)

Pipe cleaners

I took one end of the pipe cleaner and folded the tip under so that any sharp wire pieces were not sticking out.  Then I folded the rest of the pipe cleaner into a candy cane shape. With Cheerios in front of her she threaded them onto her pipe cleaner candy cane. When she was done I did the same with the other end folding it under.

Not only was this a fun craft but it is great for little hands and eye coordination.  What Christmas crafts or activities have you done with your toddler?
