Paper Plate Owl Craft For Kids #FallCraft

I love doing crafts with my kids but this year my 2 older boys are less interested in crafts. Thankfully my girls like to do crafts so when my preschooler made a paper plate owl craft in his Classical Conversations afternoon preschool class they wanted to make it too!  I cannot take credit for this craft (Thank you Aubrey).

Materials needed for craft:

Paper plate

Orange construction paper

Yellow construction paper

Black Sharpie

Glue / scissors

Crayons and/or markers

First fold sides of the paper plate (this will be the wings). Glue them (do not use a glue stick, it will not hold). Then fold the top of the plate over the wings and glue. Allow the glue to dry for a few hours. I placed a heavy object over the plate so that the folds would not pop up.

While the glue dries cut out circles for the eyes and feet. Once the glue is dried kids can color their owls and then glue the eyes and feet on the owl. In the center of the eyes use the Sharpie and make black circles for the pupils.

Aren’t they cute? Keep in mind they were made by a 6 and 2 year old.

What Fall crafts are you making with your kids?
