I will never forget the very first time I was pregnant. My husband and I had been married for two years and we were trying to conceive for a few months. The time came for me to take a pregnancy test. It was early in the morning on September 4, 2004, I was getting ready for work, my husband was still sleeping. I couldn’t wait for him to get up, I was too excited. So I took the pregnancy test and sure enough it was positive, my excitement woke him up!
I couldn’t wait to tell my parents. I am the only child so this was it my parents were going to be grandparents! That evening we showed up at my parents house and told them the good news. Coming from a big family I wanted to come up with a fun way to tell the rest of my family so I made my husband, my parents and I t-shirts that would tell it all. At the next family gathering we all wore our shirts. My family was thrilled!
Our first son was born a few weeks before Mother’s Day. He was the best Mother’s Day gift ever! I knew I never wanted just one child, I was an only child I did not want that for our son. Every time I thought I was pregnant I took a pregnancy test, thankfully each test confirmed I was pregnant! Finding that Clearblue pregnancy tests were completely accurate verses just buying a generic knock off brand. This is a big deal – I want real answers!
Fast forwarding ten years later we have four more children. Having five children keeps me busy but I love being a mom. It is the best job ever.
This Mother’s Day weekend I have a surprise for my Mother…….. We are expecting baby 6! Now 9 weeks pregnant I have been waiting for the perfect time to announce it to my mom.
I was originally unsure at first and I didn’t want to take a test too early but sure enough it tested positive and the OBGYN confirmed it. My husband and I are till in shock. When we told our oldest son he thought we were playing a late April Fool’s joke on him! The kids are excited and cannot wait till December to come to meet their new sibling.
All pregnancies are a blessing. This baby is even more so. I never thought I would be able to have anymore children. I thought my age was against me and the fact that I have had 5 c-sections. Thankfully after discussing this in depth with my OBGYN she has a plan for keeping me at low risk during this pregnancy.
I am so thankful to get to experience the amazing journey of another pregnancy and over the moon thrilled that I am going to be a mom for the 6th time!

Congratulations! We waited until we were married for 8 years to have kids. We had some time to travel and do some cool stuff before we had kids. Now we have 3 kids and are enjoying our adventures with them.
Kids are definitely an adventure. We only had one, and he’s a handful. I can’t imagine three!

Congratulations! I don’t have any children but thought like you (since I was an only child) that I would have at least 2-but then I never got married and never had kids. BUT my friends all had children nd I had fun fun fun with them!!

I was very young when I had my first. I was super scared but eventually excited.
Congratulations! We were married for a while before having our first daughter, then we waited four years before having the next. I wanted more kids but that wasn’t God’s plan!

Oh wow, you are so blessed to have such a big family and congrats on #6. I was so excited when I found out I was expecting that first time and the two times thereafter. Now, I have five grand babies and my youngest daughter is trying to conceive. She has some Clearblue pregnancy tests for when the time comes that she believes she’s finally conceived.
