How To Prepare Delicious Asparagus In Less Then 10 Minutes

Asparagus is one of my favorite vegetables.  It can be tricky to prepare and if you do not cook it long enough it will e tough to eat, cook it too long it will be mush.  I prefer steaming mine which only takes moments to cook.

How To Prepare Delicious Asparagus In Less Then 10 Minutes

asparagus main a   First you clean the asparagus (I use my homemade fruit/vegetable cleaner).  Cut off the ends (about 1/2 inch). Next add 1/4 cup of water in a pan, allow the water to boil then add the asparagus place a lid over the pan and reduce heat to medium cook for 5 to 7 minutes.  To test to see if the asparagus is tender enough use a fork and poke the asparagus.  Then in a bowl with ice water add the asparagus and blanch it for 2 minutes. Finally serve.        Viola! The most tasty asparagus and it only took less than 10 minutes to prepare! I know there are different ways to prepare it. I have seen recipes with asparagus wrapped in bacon, that is next on my list to make! There are several ways to cook it – roast, grill or stir-fry your asparagus. How about you, how do you prepare your asparagus?    asparagus collage Yum
