My daughter likes to build things just like her older brothers. Whether it be with wooden blocks, brick blocks and other types of blocks.  So when we received the Roominate she was excited to get to build and play with her creation.

Roominate main

Roominate offers a unique blend of building, circuits, design, crafts, storytelling, and creativity teaches kids while they play. Using motor and light circuits, modular furniture building pieces and walls.  All while empowering kids to build endless amazing creations! Definitely not your typical construction sets!

We invited some friends to join us in playing with the Roominate Studio and the Roominate Helicopter.

These sets are wonderful because girl’s can follow the directions that come with each set or they can create their one of a kind pieces.  For the Roominate Studio pieces can be connected to form wall and floor panels. Using the modular building pieces to make accessories  bunk beds, tables, laptop desks, cupcake stands, slides, and more! Then you can make it come to life by wiring up the motor circuit to make spinning windmills, carousels, and elevators!  Need transportation to go with the studio? The Roominate Helicopter  3-in-1  makes flying to another land or cruising under the sea possible! Wire up a spinning propeller with the included motor and connecting the design pieces, creating a helicopter, airplane, or submarine for open-ended, imaginative play.

Girl’s can learn so much from these sets such as developing important STEM skins (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) As well as learning skills for everyday life. From fine motor sills that are essential as these pieces are smaller  when putting the small pieces  together.

Children can gain self-confidence as they create by following step by step directions.  Also offering hands-on problem solving with the wheels, pulleys and basic circuitry.  Plus it’s not just building, you can add the brightly colored card stock to the panels creating a one of a kind piece. Add accents and accessories as well by cutting out pieces for those finishing touches!

The Roominate Studio’s is available for $29.99 while the Roominate Helicopter is offered for $19.99. Both items can be purchased directly from Roominate.
