ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY

I do not know about you but I have many of bad days but never one like Alexander in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.   Follow the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom (Jennifer Garner), dad (Steve Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn’t had one.

Alexander tries to tell his family about the bad days he is having but they simply do not believe him so on his birthday he makes a wish that his family could experience the kind of bad days he has had and when his family starts to have a  Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day they can start to sympathize with him. In the end this terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day brings the Cooper family together.

What I love about this movie most is that I can relate to it. There have many days my family has had a lousy day and in the end we had each other and that is what mattered the most. The movie was wrapped in comedy. Not only was there comedy but it is a great reminder how important family is. How being there for each other to encourage and lift up is so important even when times do not look so good!

Disney’s Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is PG-13 will be in theatres in this Friday, October 10, 2014!
