My five children are one of my husband’s and my greatest blessings. As their mom I try to provide them with the very best. Including using personal care products for them that are safe. I am a label reader and there are certain chemicals I avoid because I know they are not the best. What is that promise? Johnson’s Baby products have always been safe and gentle but now Johnson’s Baby has released a new campaign called ‘Your Promise Is Our Promise’, which speaks volumes for mom’s like myself! Changing the formulas in all of their products to be as gentle and safe for the baby as possible. These new formulations are hypoallergenic and made specifically for a baby’s skin. Removing specific ingredients; formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, parabens and reduced traces of 1,4-dioxane.
Johnson’s Baby has created an ‘Our Promise’ video on Youtube, showcasing an a sweet way of keeping their promise. Making an open letter to others everywhere, using scientists and their families working together to create an origami stork mobile. Each writing a special note inside each origami crane which symbolizes their promise to always work together.
The symbolism behind the video is a Japanese legend that says folding 1000 origami cranes will result in a wish ‘granted and fulfilled’. It’s thought to be a huge labor of love, which is why the fulfilled promise at the end of it means so much. Johnson’s Baby wanted to show how important their promise is so they made the cane mobile. The cranes are used to represent the babies, and the ‘hopes and promises of families’.

I have always loved Johnson’s Baby products myself. My 1st son had his 1st bath in the hospital with Johnson’s’ Baby products. Johnson’s Baby products have always been gentle for children but now knowing that Johnson’s Baby has made these changes I will be making a full change in the products I use for my children to this new formulated product line for all five of my kids and any other children we may have in the future. As a mom their promise speaks volumes to me, they truly care about my children. Caring enough about all children to make this change!

I am hoping they reformulate their powder too so it doesn’t have those nasty chemicals. Their cornstarch based powders are what we use now, but I miss the scent of the original.

I’m glad they reformulated, but I don’t think we will try them. It’s important that they do this though. So many were using them unaware of the issues so for that I give them props!
I’ve always loved Johnson’s. It says a lot that they’re always looking for the safest, most effective way to take care of their young customers.
In Canada they have yet to make the changes. Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance can cause contact dermatitis, meh…I’m not that impressed with their changes but at least they stopped using formaldehyde and parabems.
Everything causes something. We can’t live in fear of things. Just be cautious and all is well.

I’ve always trusted Johnson’s too but I know many didn’t and I hope they feel more comfortable using it now as they are a great company!

When my niece and nephew were babies, my sister swore by Johnson’s baby products. She used the no tears shampoo and the baby wash, among other things.
I love that they are reformulating their products and losing some of those chemicals.

Our parents used Johnson’s on us and we used it on our kids. The hospital even used this on my son that was a preemie too. I’m glad that they’ve reformulated but we always had confidence in the products.

We still use Johnson’s Shampoo in our house. It really is the only shampoo that creates no tears with kids. It does a great job, so why mess with another brand.
I’m glad they changed their formula! To be honest I had discontinued buying their products because of the chemicals in their shampoo. I’m glad to know I can go back and pick these up as shower gifts and I think I’d love the one using lavender.
