Kid Made Puppets & Puppet Show (Learn & Link With Linky)

There is nothing better then children finding things they already have or found to make things. Using their creativity and seeing their faces with excitment at the end result of what they made.  We are in the process of converting a portion of our garage into our homeschool room for the next up and coming year. We have a lot of stuff to go through, some to keep some to toss. My husband had a box of latex gloves in the garage and my kids saw them and they had a plan —- to make puppets out of these latex gloves and put on a puppet show for me.

Materials:

Latex Gloves

Rubber Bands

Washable Markers

Permanent Markers

Baby Wipes

My husband blew up the latex gloves and then closed them up by wrapping rubber bands around the openings. My 6 year old son took washable markers and made a different face on each side of the latex glove puppet.  Note that this can come off easily so be careful, the good thing was that when my kids got bored of their faces they would wipe off their face and make a new faces. You could also use a permanent maker and not have to worry about the marker wearing off on anything.

Then once their puppets were made they took chairs and threw a blanket over the chairs and put on a puppet show.  I sat back and enjoyed and thrilled that my kids ages 6 – 3 years thought of all this on their own and put it all together!  This was using their creativity!

My little ones love putting on plays, skits and puppet shows for  my husband and I. I wonder if they will be actors and actresses later in life!  What about your kids do they like putting on shows?
