Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow Pop Party Favors

A few weeks back I had a small combined birthday party for my kids whose birthdays are just weeks apart. I make different cupcakes for both along with different party favors. I wanted a different party favor so for the girls I made chocolate dipped marshmallow pops!

Ingredients
  1. Giant marshmallows (Walmart has them)
  2. Lollipop sticks
  3. Melted chocolate
  4. Colored sugar
Instructions
  1. Count out however many marshmallows you will need and insert the lollipop stick in each marshmallow. Melt your chocolate (I use chocolate bark found only at Walmart) but you can use any melted chocolate. Make sure the chocolate is fully melted and that you have our your colored sugars (I made my own colored sugar - you can find the recipe at http://mamato5blessings.com/2014/05/diy-colored-sugar-topping/). Dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate and then immediately dip the portion you dipped in chocolate dip in your sugar or candy coating.
  2. The best way I found to keep them from making a mess is by standing them up (marshmallow face down) in a muffin pan and then put them in the refrigerator and allow the chocolate to firm. I kept mine in the refrigerator until it was time to leave for the party but I stored them in a cooler at the park before passing them out to the children.

I found plastic jewelry bags in the craft section at Walmart so I placed 1 pop per bag and then tied a ribbon around the top.
