DIY Pine Cone Bird Feeder (Learn & Link With Linky)

My kids and I love watching the birds in our back yard , our favorites are cardinals and blue jays. We made pine cone bird feeders so that we could try to attract them and watch them longer in our yard.

Materials:

Pine Cone

6 Inch Piece of Yarn

Peanut Butter

Bird Seed

First wrap the yarn around the pine cone and tie a loop and knot at the top then roll the pine cone in peanut butter or use a spatula and spread the peanut butter onto the pine cone. Then roll or drizzle the bird seed over the peanut butter completely coating the pine cone. Finally it’s time to hang it from your tree of choice. Birds will love this tasty treat but beware of squirrels they love them too. They actually stole them from our tree in our backyard!

This is so easy to do and kids love it that you can make them anytime of the year.  When I see nice pine cones I grab them and hold onto them so we can make them whenever we want!
