I love spending time with my family, taking a break from our homeschooling and getting out of the house and enjoying life. My boys are active, they love sports, video games and just having fun. One of our favorite places to go have a family fun filled day is at Boomers! in Boca Raton, Florida.
Boomers! offers so many things to so such as batting cages, miniature golf, go karts, bumper boats, bowling, laser tag, rock wall, arcades and more!
We started our day off on the go karts. My husband and I took turns with our 3 older children around the race track. I was impressed at the size of the race track and how many laps you were able to take. I have been on go karts in the past at other places and the coarse was either too short or the time on the track was not long enough which was not the case at Boomers!
We went inside to cool off in the air conditioning while the kids did “The Wall”. This rock climbing wall is from floor to ceiling and children are in full safety gear as they climb their way to the top.
Inside there is a large selection of video games. Games that you can be rewarded with tickets to redeem for prizes or other video games for some electronic fun. Boomers! has quite a bit of interactive games that are perfect for all ages from dancing to bowling.
My favorite attraction was laser tag. After we got all suited up with our laser tag gear we were in the tag arena where you could hide and aim your laser gun to get you opponent! I played against my boys, it was thrilling game! Even my 3 year old son was able to play with us!
Boomers! offers a great selections of different foods throughout your time there. Pizza, popcorn, slushes, pretzels, hot dogs and much more! No need to leave when you can eat there and continue to enjoy the fun!
After cooling off with all the indoor fun we headed back outdoors for more fun. My husband went on the bumper boats with our 3 oldest children. From the sidelines I have never laughed so hard before! Each bumper boat has a water gun feature which allows the driver to squirt water at other bumper boat drivers. My 6 year old son had people blocked in corners drenching them! When they got done they were soaked!
Next the boys then decided they wanted to do the batting cages which was divided up for soft ball and baseball. For each section they had separated for slow for the un-experienced and medium or fast pitches for the experienced players.
Boomers! has so much to do you could spend all day there. Our family was there for about 5 hours. There are a few things you need to know before going: DO NOT wear flip flops. Thankfully Boomers! is concerned about your safety and if you are going on go karts you need to wear closed in shoes. Most attractions you need to be at least 40 inches tall which was a bit tricky for my 3 year old who was not able to go on the go karts or bumper boats which created a problem but there were so many other things for him to do that he quickly forgot about what he was not able to do.

That is so fun! There isn’t a place near me that has bumper boats, and that would probably be the most fun for my family. That laser tag would be a close second though.
That looks like a blast! We recently played laser tag and went rock climbing but it has been forever since we rode bumper boats.

Boomers looks like so much fun! The kids seemed like that had a blast! The closest location to me is in Medford NY which is quite a hike but might be worth a trip!
I am so glad you wrote about this. I have an active grand son that I was trying to think of a great place to take him to and enjoy being active. This looks like a great place to take a mini vacation with him.

We have never been rock climbing, but there is somewhere nearby that offers the go kart racing. It would be neat to go to Boomers where they have it all in one place!

I used to love taking my kids to places like these and were generally a great source of entertainment when traveling. We still go sometimes even as grownups. Will have to check it out next time in FL

I don’t think there is a Boomer’s near me that I have heard of anyway. Back when my friend’s kids were young they certainly would have enjoyed a place like this (and so would their fathers!!)

That’s a pretty cool place to visit. I don’t believe we have Boomers here in WI. I tried riding on go kart before and I hurt myself a little bit because I didn’t know how to maneuver. It wasn’t serious though but I don’t want to ride it again. I would like to try wall rock climbing someday.
