Textbooks can get pretty pricey. My kids are still young so we have time before we have to start purchasing textbooks. Our homeschooling books are expensive I can imagine how much money college books costs! I know when my kids do go to college we will be using Campus Book Rentals. They offer new and gently used textbooks for typically less than half the price you’ll pay in your school bookstore without leaving your wallet empty!

Campus Book Rentals has just come out with a new program: RentBack

RentBack is new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own – to other students… which is awesome because it makes them  times more money compared to what they’d make through buyback options! (selling their books back at the end of the semester) Isn’t that awesome?!

Renting textbooks saves you money plain and simple and gets the same result in your classes as buying your books. Rent textbooks without the risk of your books becoming worthless by the end of the semester. Rent college textbooks from the comfort of your home or office. Don’t lose money at your school bookstore anymore. Rent textbooks along with customers on over 4,000 college campuses that have used our service so far. Very easy process, browse for your desired college book (s), order, receive, return / repeat!

Campus Book Rentals offers FREE shipping BOTH ways. flexible rental periods, 30 day free trial, offers the largest selection in the nation of college books and live customer support!

The long term Improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible. We have committed to donating enough to cover a minimum of 1,000 life changing surgeries. EVERY book rented starting now, they will donate a portion of those proceeds to Operation Smile with our sights set on meeting and exceeding our goal of 1,000 lives changed.

  1. Seriously, I wish this had been an option back when I was in college. I shudder when I think about all the money I spent on text books that I was stuck with at the end of the semester because the book store wouldn’t buy them back.

  2. Renting books is definitely the way to go if you have a major like my husbands. Every 2 semesters they change the textbooks. Therefore you have very bad luck reselling your text book. and lose a lot of money. And his books are extremely expensive. We rent his textbooks and we save over $500 a semester on books.

  3. Oh wow, this beings back memories. My books were sooo expensive, I still cringe thinking of it. This is great!!!

  4. I so wish they had this when I was in college – it’s a great money saving tool! Hopefully it will still be around when the kiddos get there!

  5. I used Campus Book Rentals when I was in school last year. It saved me a TON of money.

  6. Renting books sounds great.

  7. This would save a ton of money over buying. The cost of my kids’ textbooks has been nothing short of alarming.

  8. Renting college textbooks is perfect! When I was in school, I had to buy all my text books and never actually wrote in them. I think being able to rent and then return them would have worked perfectly for me. Thanks for sharing this valuable information!

  9. I recall being in undergrad and having to resell my books! It is a great way to earn back some extra money!

  10. This is such a great way to save money on those expensive college text books!

  11. WOW wish they had this when I was in school! Such a great idea!

  15. I love it! It’s a great way for students to save while in college and be able to afford all the books they need!

  16. I remember my days of college. I used to dread the visit to the book store. Then it was a joke to sell them back at the end of the semester. You paid top dollar but got pennies back.

  17. my sister and my niece are both using CBR!

  18. I love this idea and I have to be honest as a single mom going back to school this is a great idea. However with my boys I’m a little reluctant only because I see what my boys our library books we have to return….well my toddler. When my boy gets older and if I am still in nursing school this is the only way to go.

  19. I bought used books whenever I could while I was in college! Renting sounds like an even better idea!

  20. This sounds like a no brainer for all of those text books for classes that weren’t my major core classes. All of the ones from my major I kept since they are all Spanish books. The others, I definitely did that old buy back thing. I wish this was around when I was in school!

  21. This is such a great set up. I wish they had something like this in place when I was in college 🙂

  22. haha, how funny, I just wrote a post on my biggest college mistakes (financially, speaking) – and one was that i spent way too much money on the books. I even mention how i wish i had known about book rentals back then. We must be in synch, Nicole! Cheers!

  23. I love their rent back program. Great for college kids

  24. I rent all my grad school textbooks! And never regretted that decision!

  25. I love this idea. I think renting books would be great

  26. This is such a great idea. I have a child on her way to college in the fall and it is good to know there is a way to save money on her textbooks.

  27. Me and my daughter have been looking at this since she’s off to college in a few months. Will certainly save me some money with the prices for these books!
