I have evaluated our families lifestyle this year and have made some major adjustments. I, myself needing to lose much-needed weight after having five children in the span of  eight years, never having quite the time to lose any of the weight in between each pregnancy.  One of those big adjustments is our eating habits. I have allowed too much junk food in our home and this year I am saying no more!  We are making healthier options.  Adding more fruits and vegetables onto our plates.  I have been scouring web-sites for healthy menu ideas and plan in advance. Plus  I have a plan in place to start walking and doing some aerobics at home and even having my children participate!  This year is the year for change,  change for the good.

All across America people are taking action this year  to have a healthier active lifestyle. Caring people are quietly doing amazing things for the health of their communities. To say thank you, our independent Health Mart pharmacists are awarding $50,000 in grants to community health non-profits to recognize them for improving health and well-being in their communities.

Health Mart is celebrating the unsung Champions of Care in your community who are:

  • Coaching adult/youth sports or starting sports leagues
  • Taking extra special care of a sick loved one
  • Bringing meals to the elderly
  • Starting a violence prevention program in the community
  • Paying for much-needed medicines for someone who canโ€™t afford them
  • Or countless other examples!

  42. Amy Desrosiers says:

I need to lose weight as well! I had three kids in 6 years and I dint think I’ve ever totally lost all the weight!!

  43. Good luck with your weight loss goals. Healthy eating is a great start. There are so many great low calorie snacks out there!

  44. I have had some major health issues in the last few years that have completely changed the way I eat and take care of myself. In my early 20s I found out that I had chronic low blood sugar and my body wasn’t able to regulate its blood sugar normally, and at the same time, in the very same hospital visit, found out that my heart rate was dangerously high. I had to reevaluate everything in my daily life and make some drastic changes, so I know how hard it can be to get and stay on the right track when it comes to your health and well-being, and just how important a strong support system is during that time. Health Mart sounds really great, and good on them for doing what they can to help nonprofits make a difference in the lives of the people they help.

  45. A very good program especially moms like you. Very charitable and giving back the blessings that there consumers have given to them. Great review too.
