Sensory Bin Materials Organization & Storage (Learn & Link W/ Linky)

Do you have an educational post that is about your child and you would like to share? It can be a craft, a lesson, sport etc. that your child learned this week. You do not have to be a homeschooler to LINK up below – happy to have you join us! Then come back every Friday and continue to share your learn and link post! Please do not link up educational reviews – thanks

This week I am doing something a bit different. I make quite a bit of sensory bins for my toddler and preschooler. I wanted to share with you how I organize and store all my sensory bin supplies.

I have all my current sensory themes in large Ziploc bags and labeled with the them name in Sharpie.  For any filler in our sensory bins (rocks, beans, shredded paper, etc) I place each of the filler materials in it’s own Ziploc bag as well.

All of these items are then kept in a storage bin with a lid and labeled.

Here are a few of the items we use in our sensory bins: bowls, tongs, measuring spoons, spoons, bowls with lids, funnels, etc.  I keep these items in the storage bins as well with the other sensory bin materials.

Lastly to keep it all out of reach from my children when not in use I keep it all up high so that it stays organized until I put the next sensory bin together!

I try to put together a sensory bin once every few months here are some of the sensory activities or sensory bins I have made for my kids:

Easter

Valentine’s

Winter

Dried Beans

Rice Bin

Mud & Water

Egg Shells

Expecting A Baby

Shaving Cream

Christmas

Thanksgiving

Color Red

How do you store your sensory bin materials?

Now it’s your turn, link up below and share what your child learned this week or a homeschool or learning tip!

Thanks for your great ideas but I dont have sensory bins. In fact this is the first I have heard the phrase.

  5. Oh wow, you’re organized! To be honest, I only made one sensory bin and it was with beans. I guess the mess made me “forget” to make more LOL. Looks like fun, though!

  6. Thank you for reminding me to make a sensory bin. I used to make them a lot for my classroom but have never thought much about them for my kiddos.

  7. That is a fantastic organization system!! Much better than mine scattered all over the house! I need to compile them together.

  8. Wow you are definitely an expert at organizing! I’m sure it makes the entire process much easier.

  9. Great job on the organizing!

  14. Great idea and organization.

  15. How did I not think of this!? Thank you for sharing! I get so overwhelmed when I start collecting things to make sensory bins, bottles, etc. and then I usually end up throwing things away because I can’t organize it all! Thank you!

  16. I found this post at Six Sister’s Stuff link up, and I’m so glad I did!! I’ve jeust learned that both my children have Sensory Processing Disorder, and this will be a great help!! I’m going to use some of the “bag” ideas you have too!! With the multitude of items we can use for sensory play, this organization idea will come in handy!!

Thanks for letting us link up!!! I’m your newest Bloglovin follower!!
