Mother’s Day Picture Flower Pot Bouquet

I am a procrastinator! Every year for Mother’s Day we go to my cousins house where our family meets to celebrate Mother’s Day. Getting gifts for 5 moms gets expensive (my mom, aunt, cousins, etc.!) So this year I spotted on Pinterest an adorable DYI craft. I decided to make them but with my own spin on them! So yes, I got up super early this morning to finish them up.

DIY MOTHER’S DAY PICTURE FLOWER POTS

Materials needed:
Small buckets or flower pots (I got mine in the dollar area at Target)
Spanish moss (or shredded paper from your shredder)
Your favorite pictures
Scissors, glue, pencil
Flower shaped cookie cutters
Wooden Skewer or you could even use straws, pipe cleaners, Popsicle sticks
Card stock, thick paper
Tape

I traced the pictures and and card stock with the flower cookie cutters, for my pictures I used a smaller flower shape and for the card stock I used the biggest flower shape.
Then I taped the wooden skewer to the card stock flower shape.
Then I glued the flower picture OVER the wooden skewer
I laid all the picture flowers on my counter with heavy objects to top so that they would dry flat.

While those dried, I took the small bucket and wrote one of my favorite Bible verses on it :

Children are a blessing from The Lord; they are a reward from Him. Psalm 127:3
I used my new Painter’s Paint Markers to write the verses, but I am sure a Sharpie would work too!
Then I filled each basket with the Spanish Moss (warning this stuff is messy, I did mine in the kitchen sink)
Then I stuck the flowers in each flower bucket to make my picture flower pot bouquet!

Need a quick gift for a Mother? Make a picture flower pot bouquet or you don’t even need to make one for Mother’s Day – great for birthdays or anytime of the year!
